As a strategic consultant, I collaborated closely with the Zenki Dojo owner to spearhead a comprehensive transformation of the brand. This ambitious project entailed a full rebranding and structural realignment of the business, with key goals including securing necessary funding, refining the business model, acquiring and renovating facilities, transitioning the existing client base, and implementing targeted marketing, sales, and pricing strategies.

 

Our responsibilities were diverse, covering the acquisition of capital for expansion, negotiating facility terms, overseeing the remodeling process (which involved coordinating international shipments and managing construction details), identifying the brand's unique value proposition, and formulating a cohesive marketing strategy. I also focused on expanding our team to support the new business model, enhancing client and staff satisfaction, increasing revenue to cover operational expenses, negotiating down debt, and fostering strategic partnerships.

Our collective efforts transformed Zenki Dojo from a traditional martial arts studio into a 4,800 square foot elite center in Los Feliz, featuring advanced amenities such as secure parking, Tesla charging stations, wellness therapies, ice baths, infrared saunas, showers, pilates & yoga private space, red light therapy, masseuse, physical therapist, a professional boxing ring, and a lot more. This transformation was achieved through a meticulous strategy that included raising the dojo's profile, redefining its value proposition, and engaging a targeted market demographic. Within three years, we realized a 300% increase in revenue and halved the operational workload, setting a new standard of excellence in the martial arts community and showcasing the impact of strategic vision and execution.
